Badge Guidelines:
Candidates must participate in any game of their choice. For each game chosen, they must:
Have a sound knowledge of the rules.
Know the scoring system.
Be conversant with the basic duties and requirements of an umpire/ referee and demonstrate their knowledge.
Participate in the match game upon the completion of the course (theory & skills training), either in singles, doubles, or team event(s).
The certifying officer must be a certified coach of the chosen sport, or certified Physical Education teacher at the school.
The chosen sport must be recognised as an Olympic Sport. Other team sports may also be recognized, subject to approval from CPB Committee in writing.
Sports activities conducted under the Sports Education Programme (Sports Play), not covered in another badge syllabus, are also recognised for the application of this badge.
Supporting Documents for Badge Applications:
Lesson outline and practical assessment details / framework
Results / comments on the cadets’ performance throughout the lesson and assessment
Individual reflections by the students on the learning of the chosen sport
